“I’ve gotten to a point where I’m finally okay,” @billieeilish told ELLE for our Women in Music issue. “It’s not because I’m famous. It’s not because I have a little more money. It’s so many different things: growing up, people coming into your life, certain people leaving your life. For anybody who isn’t doing well, it will get better. Have hope. I did this shit with fame riding on my shoulders. Being famous is great, but it was horrible for a year. Now I love what I do, and I’m me again. The good me. And I love the eyes on me.” Link in bio for the full #ELLEWIM cover story. Eilish is a young artiste who may be seen as a moody teen with few chips on her shoulder, but she showcased the better side of the side. In the song association game, the magazine company ELLE gave her a word and, as fast as possible, she then needed to come up with a music that uses that word in it’s lyrics. The pressure probably was much for her with “dance,” because she absolutely went blank and wasn’t able to think of anything. After the snafu, the remaining of her guesses were good.
Eilish wasn’t able to come up with the precise words to The Weeknd’s track “Earned It,” but she understood the word “perfect” was somewhere in there, .Also the word “lovely” was not a hard onr for her since she and Khalid worked closely on a song bearing that same name, then “party” subsequently reminded her of a female singer Miley Cyrus.
Watch as she debuts a few lines from Big Sean featuring Kash Doll’s “So Good,” also P!nk’s “So What,” also H.E.R.’s “Gone Away,” together with Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Radiohead, Avril Lavigne and other singers.
